Web Development Methodology
The way in which W.A. Fisher Interactive produces professional, custom websites is quite unique and has proven to be very effective. The following is a summary of the tasks we would undertake during custom website design and development:
Website Project Fact Finding
We conduct a meeting or meetings with key individuals to determine your needs, goals, budget considerations and other relevant factors in order to better prepare the website production estimate and proposal.
Establish Goals and Objective for your Custom Website
Is your website intended to be a marketing or sales tool? Is it a customer service tool? We help you establish clear goals and objectives that are the foundation of any successful website or business.
Professional Website Planning
Develop the architecture of your website - what information should be included and how it should be organized. We will also help make decisions on which search terms to target, so the completed project will be ready for additional search engine optimization if desired.
Copywriting for the Web
Our staff will request as much information as possible from you and other resources, and will edit, or in many cases rewrite, the pertinent information to fit your website's overall custom style and navigation. Our writers will also edit the website copy and other text to ensure proper search term usage for basic search engine optimization techniques.
Web Site Design
As the copy, script and website outline are being developed, our professional Web designers will establish a look and feel for the site by creating as many page formats as required by your custom website architecture.
Client Review and Approval
Before we begin the website programming process, the script, outline and design elements will be submitted for your review and approval. This step greatly reduces, and can nearly eliminate, costly revisions which would otherwise be made after the website programming and launch have been completed.
Professional Website Programming
After copy, text and Web design modifications have been completed and approved, the project moves into the programming phase - converting the information to Web-based components such as html, Flash and databases as required by the website's custom plan.
Beta Website Launch
Prior to launching your website for public viewing, our staff will upload the completed website to a server with limited access for review. You are then able to review the custom Web design and programming live, online in its entirety – not otherwise available to the public.
Final Website Launch
After all changes are made and any navigational or functionality problems are debugged, your new professional website is transferred to the Web host server and launched live for the general public to access. W.A. Fisher Interactive will also purchase domain names on your behalf if needed.
Website Marketing
Completing and successfully launching the website is really only half the battle. It's similar to designing and producing the perfect billboard and sticking it in your garage where no one can see it. W.A. Fisher Interactive does comprehensive website marketing including optimization, search engine and directory listings, paid search, banner ads, social marketing and broadcast emails to make sure your website gets the traffic it deserves. Our advertising and printing division can also help with marketing your website by getting the word out to your target market through the use of TV, radio, newspaper or other media ads.
Website Hosting
W.A. Fisher Interactive can provide complete website hosting and email capabilities. If you prefer, we will upload your professional website to a supporting server of your choice.
Website Maintenance
Although most of our sites include a Content Management System that allows our clients to update their own sites, many of our clients prefer to have us take care of these tasks. We offer a discounted Web maintenance rate for making basic content and programming updates and modifications.
